Hey my peeps and may the algorithm bring this piece to you.
Today we’re digging into my least and most favorite game, for those curious on why this is the case check out my Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Beautiful Mess post.
For now, though, we’ll be getting into some things I wish I knew when I started playing.
For this post, I’m playing on an 11-inch iPad Pro, diving into the base game primarily for beginners, so without further ado, let's get into this.

Outside of Eating or Going to Your House, you can sit on any chair to replenish energy; while it is a slower process, it does work in a pinch.

Meals will usually replenish more energy than just uncooked ingredients.
Don’t forget your daily conversations; not only will it give you a little insight into the characters, but it also will help when increasing your friendship level.

PRO TIP: Bring a friend with your perk while performing everyday tasks, for example, clearing nuisance stones and night thorns. Bring a companion with the mining perk BEFOREHAND so you can kill three birds with one stone.
Refrain from giving characters the digging perk. It’s borderline useless, and digging with a companion with the gardening perk essentially does the same thing.

SAVE AT LEAST SOME OF EVERYTHING. You never know what you’re going to need. Primary Items: Clay, Pebbles, Soil, Sand, Coal, One Stack of Stone(Stacks=99 of an item), and Stack of Wood.
Serve Characters at Chez Remy it boost your friendship level with them and net you some money as well.

Removing Night Thorns will increase your friendship level with any character regardless of perk, so long as you hang out with them.
Feed a critter once they will drop an item, continue to feed the same critter then they’ll be your animal companion.

Set up gardens around the valley so you have ingredient variety for meals and gifts.
Need a lot of money in a pinch, and rock spots just aren’t yielding? Try fishing. It will always net just as much if not more, than mining because you are always going to find them around the valley.

When gifting to characters, if it is not their favorite item, anything you give will increase your friendship level with the base amount, so give cheaper items instead of higher-valued ones.
Place storage and a crafting table in every area once it’s unlocked. This serves for items outside to have a quick place to dump items you want and do not want to sell or drop.
While playing, try to knock out as many Dreamlight Duties as possible. These tasks are usually quick and easy to get out of the way, and will save you from having to grind for dreamlight as much when unlocking areas.
