Why You Should Diversify Your Game Library

& How It Can Benefit You

Hey, my peeps.

May the algorithm bring this piece to you.

I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately.

Writing, my personal life, and my regular jobs all have been kicking my ass, to put it lightly.

In an attempt to clear my head, I tried playing video games based on my theory, ‘Play How You Feel, ‘ from my post How Video Games is Helping Me Heal From Trauma.

While the games were fun, I was not fully fulfilled.

In a last ditch effort to avoid full on depression, I busted out my Nintendo Switch and played Just Dance 2021, a game I haven’t touched since its release.

Right away, I knew this was just what I needed.

The game was fun, challenging, and inspiring, and I got a killer workout.

Of course, this did not solve everything – hell, I’m still dealing with a lot – but every victory, even the small ones, is worth celebrating.

So, if you’re in a rut, uninspired, or somewhere in between, play a video game —not just anything, but something different.

It might just be what you’re looking for :).

Thank you so much for reading.

As always, I’ll catch you guys in the next one.
